Emily Sacker is a Teaching Fellow at Bold Charter School. Her passion for education is rooted in her early experiences advocating for students with special needs through the Best Buddies organization. There, she worked to empower students of all abilities, both inside and outside the classroom. Her dedication to education extends to her current role as a Corps Member with Teach For America, where she is committed to building a positive and enriching classroom community. Her journey began in Long Beach, California, where she was inspired to address the educational gaps she experienced as a student. With a diverse professional background in political advocacy and legal aid, Emily brings a strong focus on equity and advocacy to her teaching. Now based in New York City, Emily enjoys working in the same school district where her grandfather once attended, and she is thrilled to be closer to her family. She holds a degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Emily remains deeply passionate about ensuring that every child has access to quality education and a learning environment where they can thrive.
